Brain Profiling

What is a brain profile?

An NBI Brain Profile measures thinking preferences, and not skills or ability in executing those preferences. It could therefore happen that an individual has a very strong preference for order, planning and organisation, but has never had the chance to develop the skills to plan and organise. The recommendation in this instance would be that since the desire is there, the skills to support that desire should be developed in order to be effective in a given career.

The resulting NBI Profile looks at the thinking preferences of the individual. As we are dealing with preference, it is important to note that there are no bad, or wrong profiles. A Brain Profile is a descriptive, non-judgmental analysis, with no profile being better or worse than another. Instead, the report gives a description of an individual’s thought preferences, and makes recommendations based on those.

Why would you need a brain profile before making an appointment in your team?

The reality is, all companies are cautious these days of appointing staff due to bad past experiences. We are all a little unsure where our strengths and weaknesses lie as a manager and/ or as an employee. We are in an age where we want to understand ourselves better holistically. This profile will indicate exactly those points in terms of how we think, where are we most comfortable and where we need a bit more development. By doing this profile, you will get a better idea of yourself or your candidate on the following points:

  • Are you a doer or a thinker?
  • Are you more creative, administrative, factual or people orientated?
  • Which roles and future studies will benefit you?
  • Which areas do you need more development in?
  • How can you become a better manager?

These are but a few points. When you understand yourself and others better in this regard, choosing a career path, what to study or who to appoint in your business will be much easier and give you greater peace of mind.
